Garden Maintenance Subscriptions
Our Garden Maintenance department provides tailored care with three distinct packages to suit your garden’s needs. Whether it’s a regular visit once or twice a month during the growing season or four seasonal maintenance visits with an emphasis on the Spring Opener and Winter Closing, our expert team ensures your garden thrives year-round. All subscriptions also come with discounts for Additional Services.
These in-season visits between the Spring Opener and Winter Closing maintain garden health and aesthetic. A visit may take up to two hours. Any Additional Service added to a visit is discounted for subscribers. More information here.
In March or April, we’ll start up your irrigation and perform a detailed maintenance with extra cleanup. We’ll come prepared to take more rubbish than a typical visit. More information here.
Around the first frost we’ll winterize your plants and irrigation system as part of a detailed maintenance visit. More information here.
Each subscription comes with a flat discount on our Additional Services Menu items. For Dartmouth additional services are 10% off. For Yale, additional services are 15% off. For Princeton, additional services are 20% off.
As a subscriber, you can add any of our additional service(s) to a scheduled maintenance visit. Any service can take up to one hour. Beyond that hour, there is a $60/hour labor fee per gardener.
If you are a subscriber who is requesting a special visit for any of these additional services, or a non-subscriber who is requesting one or more of these services, there is a visitation fee of $150 in addition to the cost of the service itself. Any of these services can take up to one hour. Beyond that hour, there is a $60/hour labor fee per gardener.

Sometimes heavy planters need to be moved. This might be done or building repairs, construction, redesigning, etc. We’ll bring the proper tools to make quick work of repositioning these.
Moving any planter with plants in it. We’ll disconnect and reconnect the irrigation/lighting after having safely repositioned the planters. Includes repositioning and mounting on planter feet, if applicable.

Removing one or more full bags of only leaves. Delivery/van charges apply as necessary.

Making repairs to your irrigation system.

Distributing fertilizer around the base of every plant. Usually, fertilization occurs at the beginning of the season (around March or April) and is included with any subscription.

Creation of drainage holes in planters
Planters require proper drainage to ensure the health of their plants. Drilling additional drainage holes can give these plants a better chance at survival in excessively wet conditions.
