Standard Maintenance Visit

A standardized visit to complete the following tasks, maintaining garden health and aesthetic. A visit may take up to two hours. If additional services are requested, they will incur additional charges, all of which are discounted for subscribers.

Cost: A Standard Maintenance Visit for a non-subscription customer with a garden of up to 400 square feet is $300 and includes all of the following tasks.

  • Trimming: Removal of unwanted material from existing plants to improve plant health and garden aesthetic.
  • Weeding: Removal of unwanted plant material growing in plant beds and planters.
  • Systems Check: Maintaining working order of irrigation and lighting systems, if applicable.
  • Clean Up: Removal of all trimmings / pulled weeds accumulated by the Ivy League team.  Sweeping and hosing off all surfaces where practical. 
  • With a subscription, fertilizer is applied once a season in the spring. Non subscribers will be offered a fertilizer treatment if the visit occurs in March, April or May.
  • Insect spray is included upon subscriber request. Nonsubscribers who request insect spray will be charged.

Additional Services are available from our Additional Services Menu. We cannot guarantee that we can add additional tasks to a Standard Maintenance Visit unless they are specified and confirmed with Ivy League at least two days prior.

Winter Closing

Prepare your garden for a restful winter with our Ivy League Winter Closing. This isn’t just any maintenance visit – it’s the ultimate end-of-season care for your garden! We’ll handle all the usual tasks such as trimming, weeding, system checks and a thorough cleanup. But that’s just the beginning.

Cost: A Winter Closing maintenance visit for a non-subscription customer with a garden of up to 400 square feet is $400.

Here’s what makes our Winter Closing special:

  • Reopening irrigation pipe ends to prevent bursting
  • Storing fittings & timer for the winter months.
  • Tying up grasses
  • Winter pruning
  • Removing up to 500 pounds of debris (if applicable)

Our Winter Closings last up to 3 hours. For gardens over 400 square feet, custom quoting is available.

Soil Test

Neem Oil

Insect Treatment

Hedge Trimming

  • Price $20 / plant

Use of hedge trimmers to create hedge(s) out of several plants of the same variety. Delivery/van charges apply as necessary.

String Lights Installation

  • Price $300 + cost of lights

    May be added to a previously scheduled maintenance job with 48 hours notice.

Installing outdoor string lights. The $300 base charge covers timers, extension cords and hanging materials. Delivery/van charges apply as necessary.

Snow Removal

  • Price Quoted by Job

Mowing

Installing upward-facing lights in planters. The $500 base charge covers the main wiring / transformer installation and supplies. Delivery/van charges apply as necessary.

More Benefits

These lights help to extend amount of time you can spend in your garden by illuminating it from the ground up. They can be automatically set to go on and off anytime you choose.

Planter Feet

  • Price $5/foot

    May be added to a previously scheduled maintenance job with 48 hours notice.

Adding planter feet (risers) to raise existing planters for improved drainage or aesthetic. Most planters take four feet.

More Benefits

Planters need space between their base and the ground to allow for proper drainage. Let us know if your planters are waterlogged or your plants seem overwatered. They might need to be raised up on our 1/2” tall, rubber planter feet.

Planter Repositioning

  • Price $50 for moving up to four planters.

    Additional planter repositioning's are $10 / planter. May be added to a previously scheduled maintenance job with 48 hours notice.

Moving heavy planters with ease.

Sometimes heavy planters need to be moved. This might be done or building repairs, construction, redesigning, etc. We’ll bring the proper tools to make quick work of repositioning these.
Moving any planter with plants in it. We’ll disconnect and reconnect the irrigation/lighting after having safely repositioned the planters. Includes repositioning and mounting on planter feet, if applicable.

Keeping your backyard clear of fallen leaf excess.
Removing one or more full bags of only leaves. Delivery/van charges apply as necessary.

Irrigation fix​​

Making repairs to your irrigation system.
The price is determined by the needed materials (timers, tubing, etc.) labor to install and the number of planters requiring hook up.

More Benefits

We install vinyl irrigation systems and have the materials necessary to fix similar systems. Whether it be a small leak, or a burst pipe, we’ll assess and do what’s necessary to keep your irrigation system in top working condition.

Fertilizer​

  • Price $60 for up to a four pound bag

    May be added to a previously scheduled maintenance job with 48 hours notice.

Distributing fertilizer around the base of every plant. Usually, fertilization occurs at the beginning of the season (around March or April) and is included with any subscription.

More Benefits

Soil in urban environments needs to be regularly fertilized to maintain the nutrients necessary to flourish. We’ll administer the proper fertilizer at the optimal time.

Stump removal​

  • Price $100 plus rental

    May be added to a previously scheduled maintenance job with 1 week notice.

Making it as if your deeply rooted stump was never there.

We use different methods of stump removal depending on the size, depth, and variety of the stump. A powered stump grinder is used for most large stumps.

Drilling Drainage Holes

  • Price $20/planter
